How are you liking the mods? Also have a 2022 540i and wanting some more power. I do not have the m-sport trim so I like the idea of my car being that much more of a sleeper. Would having the intake/JB4/high flow cat completely void the warranty? |
I genuinely love the ride! It was great to begin with, but we all know that life is too short to drive stock cars
As for the warranty, since I work for BMW, I don't want to be making statements, that could be used against me later. BMW has become more strict recently about mods. They are flagging any abnormal boost levels and might decline your warranty if something bad happens later on.
JB4 is by far the most significant one on the list. Drop in filter and muffler are dealer friendly, so don't worry about these two. Downpipe can't really break anything in your car either, so it's fine too.
In reality, our engines are very reliable and can take high levels of boost. JB4 has proven to be a "safe" and powerful option for years, just don't switch between maps blindly.
Do I recommend these mods? Absolutely!
