There is no such thing as too often oil changes damaging an engine. The reverse is not true.

I'll take fresh oil over an opinion.
Not trying to be a smart ass, but brand new fresh oil is better than 5,000 mile oil, maybe marginally, but like I said, it can't hurt.

1, yes it’s your money, do what u want with it.
2, Yes not changing the oil often enough could damage a engine…eventually although are BMW condition based oil changes to infrequent? My experience with the e92 & having covered over 80,000 miles in it leads me to believe that they aren’t.
3, Yes, an opinion based on BMW Engineers , oil companies research & development & my own experience, which I’d take over internet rumours.
Not trying to be a smart arse either & your right it can’t hurt the engine, just the planet & your wallet
