The interior trim is actually not that hard to change. Might be a little pricey, but totally doable. I have the mocha nappa with aluminum rhombicle and I like it quite a lot. I've never been a fan of the old man glossy brown wood thing. Aluminum trim in a sport sedan is the way to go. Check e-bay from time to time for a good deal on G30 trim.
Lastly, I don't think I'd ever opt for the massage seats again. I had no choice in my model year, but everything I've read on this forum informs me that the massage bladders inside the seat make the seat harder and less comfortable than without the massage. I use the massage sometimes, but honestly I'd not miss it. No way would I pay a grand for the massage feature- I'd rather keep that $$ in the piggy bank for the next Bimmer.
