I'm just under 40 too and I used to think that the Burl Walnut is old man trim, but I quite like it in person! I agree the Fineline Ridge doesn't looks that great on the 5 for some reason...perhaps because the trim is larger and wider; it looked nice in my 3 with cognac interior. Maybe it looks good with just the right interior color combos. |
I don't have the fancy Nappa leather…. But I do have Canberra Beige Dakota and it looks fabulous against the Burl Walnut wood. It's just a classic look. I hope they put a beige leather option in the new G60 5 series.
I think the gray poplar wood has a similar kind of large pattern. It would also look good on beige or ivory, I think.
I think you might be onto something about the fine line ridge wood.
