I was always planning on running the car with stage 2+/stage 2 HPFP.

I just received the TU pump (Supra pump) from the higher output B58s. It's a Bosch part and the part number is: 13518631642

I've been reading about how since the TU pumps run double the pressure, there is a risk of injector failure on the gen 1 B58s which can cause them to fail open and flood the cylinder which results in engine failure. I've also read that the DME cuts fuel pressure to safe levels.

Has anyone run the HPFP for a long period of time or have more info on this? I'd love to run it for the power and torque but I want to keep this car for a long time.

Thanks
I have been stage 2+ for 15 months now. Longest rd trip done has been to Niagara Falls from Long island. total of around 800 miles. No issues with b58tu pump since installed...
