Well, to be honest, as I have some professional experience with coding and a "understand first and don't do things blindly" mentality, I prefer to dissect things, take them one by one and pay extra attention to what I am doing.
I am not sure if BimmerCode was the best choice for a BMW coding utility. It was at least the cheapest for me. From what I see until now, it is quite comprehensive and, except for a few advanced features (backup management comes to mind) I don't have much to complain about.
To answer my own original question, I started looking for cheat sheets for different (mostly older) models and I'll be carefully trying whatever I find in there.
