I wouldnt worry about it. They can get old and brittle - I may have damaged one of mine as well but that was 60k miles ago and it’s running just fine.
If the connector backed off, you’d get a misfire and code, then you’d have to deal with it but that is highly unlikely in my opinion. The lock is a nice to have but not essential in my opinion, in this specific use case.
