In order to make this thing run semi-close to how my 2011 ran, sport+ mode is required; and it still isn't as fast as the 2011 was. I will say that aside from brakes, tires and oil changes, the car is pretty much service free. It is definitely not an enthusiasts car, unless you're a Lexus (read slow) enthusiast.

With this being said, I do like my car, just not in love with it. I still get compliments on it daily.
As a previous owner of an IS350, the IS350 been to the dealership 10x more than my M3. 4 recalls, 5 bulletin repairs, numerous warranty work. Mind you, some of these were major bulletin repairs. Cam rattle which required new cam gears. Airbag harness was too short causing airbag to not activate (required airbag harness to be completely rewired to the ECU).

My 2018 M3 I had for 3 years with 25k miles hasn't even been to the dealership once. Many other people with F80 M3 on this forum are sharing the same sentiment about the reliability of the F80 M3.
