Plus, my personal belief is that cars, especially "Luxury" brands, are basically made as disposable items nowadays. They're not being designed or built to be used past 10 years because the original buyers usually switch out for newer models frequently. If you want a 10 year old car that's super reliable go buy a Camry or Accord.

I would be more pissed if BMW tried to pretend that they've done nothing wrong while people died. They're addressing the defect, so kudos are deserved for this, IMO.
