I'm actually not sure this could be a DIY. To remove the TPMS sensor from the wheel, you would need to let all the air out (preferable by removing the valve core). Then you would need to de-bead the wheel using something pretty strong...like a pneumatic shovel. After that, you have to push the tire down to expose the TPMS where you can remove it with a socket wrench.

The sheer force required to do it would be pretty hard to manipulate at home without a tire mounter.
