Hi,

am picking up my new 540xD next week and I want to remove the VMAX limitation (250 km/h).

I did a bit of research and I know there is a VMAX setting in DME that can only be changed in the first 10 hours of the car's life, but this should be fine, since my car is fresh off the line.

I bascally heard to set the setting to FF and everything should be fine.

I now checked my current F11 525D and it has 247 in as a VMAX setting, but basically there are several options to set and all have 2 BYTEs to set.

So I was wondering whether I should use 0,FF or FF,FF ?

I saw some screenshots on the web, where there were also the option of 317 or 293 to choose from (on an M5), which would obviously be sufficient for me, but the max my current car offers is 257.

What I obviously want to avoid is setting something wrong, and then the 10 hours expire and it can't be changed without replacing the DME.

Any insight would be highly appreciated.
