There is one of these rolling around Denver. I have no idea how, why or what - but I've seen it on the street with standard Colorado plates.
There's also a 7 series in green rolling around too.

Also, back to the differentiation of the B5, or for that matter any Alpina, there is something to be said tha even BMW still believes in Alpina and the value it brings.. they don't just slap on a body kit and engine tune..they thoroughly work over the whole car.. from developing their own turbos and cooling systems to working with Akra or Boysen to develop their own exhaust setups.. the whole interior can be customized similar to BMW individual. The video where Jeremy Clarkson compares the M to the Alpina says it succinctly. Both are two different beasts and satisfy a different market segment.
