Hi, I am currently driving a 2019 530i. Just today i was abit playful, so after started my car i went on to rev the engine till 7k rpm.
Right after i released the pedal, the needle reaches at 3k rpm and continue to rise up to 4k rpm even tho I wasnt my accelerator.
( was freaked out obviously )
The rev counter will increase rev by itself that I have to shut the engine down. Waited awhile and restart and everything back to normal.
Just wondering are any of you guys experienced it before? Will it spoil the engine instantly?
