My 850CSi doesn't, it just has a storage hole there. It seems most before ~93 have the 6x Cassette holder and most after that just have a cubby hole.
Ironically my M6 is similar, all pre-LCI sold in NZ have the 6x CD changer in the glovebox but LCI onwards just has a hole there as well but it was still an option.
