Why don't you try putting the subs in the cabin, that way the neighborhood doesn't have to hear it when your trying to get deep base and keep turning it up. Very childish solution to remove the subs and put them outside your listen area.

Thats the exact reason why BMW and other companies are designing their cars with the subs within the CABIN, because just a slight increase in pressure makes a BIG difference.

Keep the subs where they are and buy drop-ins that are superior in quality and efficiency. Adding just 20 watts to each sub, will increase the base response by 2x ..!
