Carbon Black is a great color, you'll love it! I was almost going to get Carbon Black, but ended up going with Tanzanite Blue. It is nice to see someone getting Carbon Black, because so many people get Black Sapphire, when Carbon Black is basically Black Sapphire with a blue tinge which I find cool. I also see that you have gone with a true blackout spec! I think that the red calipers would have looked better than the blue, just because it would pop more and I think contrast better with the black. My M550i is currently at the port. I'll post my current timeline to help you get an idea for how long it will take. If you want something more in depth, I have my own tracking thread with my full spec and everything.
