I removed mine as well via weld job. Check out my post with videos.

This is a bit cleaner and if I had not done my weld job I would have opted with this probably but depends on price really.

Don't think in terms of performance or anything there would be any diff.

I wanted to "try" to stay away from welding and make it as simple as possible for the shop I was going to go to. They are general shop that does exhaust, so am hesitant to have them drop system and reinstall. Was going to see if they could just cut the 4 foot portion holding the resonators and clamp in straight pipes
