I guess there's nothing wrong with it when it's a $100-$300 watch that has a quartz movement (like a diesel or TWsteel watch) or $400-$800 and has a basic mechanical movement (like a Sellita, Seiko or eta2824 movement), but those U boat watches cost usually (starting from) $2,5k - $5k and are way way overpriced (and ugly but that's a personal preference)
In the end every 60mm watch will have a large movement ring as all movements are way smaller, or a movement of a clock has to be fitted
