honestly the issue with these numbers, along with all other new gen m5/e63 numbers are how much drivetrain loss they claim the cars have. At 25% drivetrain loss which is what they tuners use, a 450awhp M550i with dinan tune does theoretically have 600 hp at the crank, but we all know the drivetrain loss is much less than 25%. Or even the stock m5/e63 dynos claiming they come with 700 hp stock at the crank due to the 25% drivetrain loss.

These cars aren't underrated, they just don't have the drivetrain loss that cars used to have.
Very true, how cool would it be if someone pulled engine, did engine dyno and regular dyno! 25% is from like 15 yrs ago I think, wonder if it's really down to 15%
