Mustang dyno's have been known to hurt feelings but that's also why I've always used them so I get real figures. If that's true or not I don't know, but what I've been told and read over the years.
the dinan and the above dyno are on a mustang dyno which is why they read lower, and the one from the other thread is on a dynojet which is why it reads higher.

i have no doubt about the figures these cars are putting out to the wheels on the dyno, but the question is, how much drivetrain loss there is.

and also keep in mind when you compare your m550i to the m5 you previously had, stock 2014 M5 Competitions dyno 560/490 to the wheels on dynojet, which is wayyyy more than what a "600 hp" dinan m550i puts out on a dyno.

https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=962214

so while dinan "claims" 600 hp for these tuned M550i's..the m5 you previously had was way over 600 hp that's why your previous m5 still feels considerably faster, especially off roll speeds.

all in all, these cars are all underrated and big HP figures are thrown out like nothing, but ultimately a m550i needs a stage 2 tune and downpipes to be able to beat a stock 2014 M5 COMP off a roll IMO..
Stock my M5 on mustang dyno 504 or 509 whp and 516 or 520 rwtq, I'd have to find my sheets.
I remember looking and asking Dinan about their dyno they used and they took the wheels off and pretty sure bolted machine to the axles. But doesn't Dinan say like 540 and like 590 tq was what their M550 had stock at crank? I'd have to look back but remember thinking what car would throw 100 more torque? The dyno people can manipulate numbers, I remember a guy being at the shop couple of yrs ago and actually asked the guy to modify values so his dyno sheets read higher, I didn't get the point to that?
Yes with the Dinan V2 the car is closer to stock M5 speed from a roll than it was, might be real close, but their 2 different cars, M5 was refined but a real brute! This car is a brute also but more refined. Wish I could go full tune but I've heard a lot of horror stories of blown engines and $40k engine bill.

Sorry to OP for totally hijacking his thread!
