This is the fourth time I’ve installed painted reflectors, and this car was the easiest so far. In the IND DIY, they unscrewed and peeled back the plastic trim in the wheel well arches. I did that for the first side, but not for the second without a problem. There’s enough room in the air duct from the M Sport bumper to the wheel well to apply heat and work the glue.

Buy a cheap heat gun, if you don’t have one. Every time I’ve used a blow dryer, and then 2 minutes in I say I should’ve bought a basic heat gun. Once the glue holding the orange reflector heats up, it’s really not that hard to remove the reflector and the old glue.

I turned in two leases with painted reflectors, and no one at the BMW dealership said anything about the reflectors.
