BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - View Single Post - Have cable, have software....can't talk to car

I have setup a Win XP 32 bit Dell D630 laptop and I have the usb cable.

I followed the instructions in the PDF and then I try INPALOAD I do not get any black dots.

I tried to skip it as others have and go to NCS Expert and I follow all the steps until I try to do the F1 then F3 step and I get VIN is invalid.

My car is a 2011 e93.

Any help would be great.
