Definitely test drive before going the 328d route.. you cannot compare the car with a 328i even less a 535i.. Unless you're ok with a lot less power and you want to acheive incredible gas mileage than I don't think you,re going to get any satisfaction with the 328d.
I love my car but at the same time I know it's nowhere near a performance car. I just love the comfort and luxury it offers me.
