PPF can help with rock chips or accidental scratches but I'm not sure it is going to stop a vandal with a sharp key or similar tool. What a scumbag.
My car was X-pelled when I bought it and a POS tried to use his key to vandalize my car right on the hood so I could see it. The only problem was that he had no idea that I was watching him. He keyed it and realized something was wrong and put more pressure on it. When he turned around there I was. Bammmmm KO'D. I brought the car back where I got it x-pelled and they were able to take the hood piece off and replace. No damage to the paint on the hood.
