Creating a smaller diameter over the hump inside the bore vs having wheel stripped and painted/powder coated. For those who want a visual, if you take off your cap, and run your finger along the circumference of the wheels bore you'll notice a hump located a bit in, that's what I'm thinking is creating the pressure on the counter weight. At this point I think I will give up and not have floating caps on this set lol

My 2020 M550 build sheet shows the car was ordered with 668M's and additionally the $155 Floating Center Caps. They dont spin anymore, or maybe were replaced ? I dont know. I'm the second owner. However my car is going in for its annual oil change this month and I will ask Service if this is something covered since it was on the build sheet.
