The 530e weighs 400 pounds more than its gasoline counterpart the 530i.
I would think from the weight alone (And add more if you have X drive) the gas engine consumption and mileage would be impacted substantially more vs the standard gasoline/petrol model.
This is one of the reasons why I am not 100% sold on hybrids. Something is got to give up somewhere.
