That's probably part of the reason why I had lower oil temps at my last event, despite wringing the snot out of my car with V2.02.

Also, the higher average speeds with race rubber probably helped.

Regarding your comment that boost and HP fall off considerably, that is very true. What I found helpful was getting a proper dyno done and then mapping torque at each rpm range multiplied by gear ratio and rear end for each gear. That will get you torque to the ground and then you can determine the optimal shift points to maximize torque to the ground.

That got me a few more mph in the straights - kept the rpms lower - and kept the oil temps lower.
