WRONG! After putting my car into a wall at Heartland Park (Topeka) October of '06, I was fully covered by American Family Ins.
I paid my $500 deductible, they picked up the total cost of the repair, ~9K!

They are afterall, high speed DRIVER EDUCATION events. (This is part of the reason that these events are so strict about making sure you're NOT racing--anyone else or even the clock.)

People may want to check with their own particular insurance company beforehand to double-check coverage. I did, and was told I'd be covered, which I was.
