Well ID7 is the replacement of ID6 and most new BMWs are being switched to ID7.
I agree it is a joke but planned obsolescence at its finest.

My 2019 last gen now and I only plan to finagle to get my car updated since it's already behind but I don't expect any moving forward now that id7 is here.
