I love my Mak grill. I have the 1 star general and it always works well. It took a while to make my wife stop using the gas grill because it's quicker to heat up, but the food tastes so much better on the pellet grill. Also one thing of note- there's no direct flame on a pellet grill/smoker so grease fires are a non issue. Especially if you cook whole chickens, chicken thighs, steaks or burgers on it. You still get the grill marks, just no burn spots and a much more even heat surface area.
