I am located in Vancouver, Canada. I'm currently running a US 93map with RK tunes with local Chevron 94 gas on my 2019 M550. All local car scenes claim that Shell 91 is better than Chevron 94 because Chevron 94 always make their engines knock. And someone here also did a dyno test on a stock Golf R with Shell 91 and Chevron 94 gas, it turns out Shell 91 gives the golf 20 more WHP. The highest octane rating in Canada is usually 91 but Chevron is the only place I know that offers 94. The Octane rating in Canada goes from 87,89,91 (,94 for chevron) instead of the US 87,91,93. I am running Chevron 94 right now and my dragy shows my 1/4 is 11.7s. But when I was running Shell 91 with US 91 map on my car I could get 11.48s. So I am wondering if I can put Canadian Shell 91 gas in my US 93-map car since it also has no ethanol or do I have to run a US 91 map with Canadian shell 91 gas (I assume 93map is faster than 91map)?
