Car had software updated
I have a drive train malfunction and the software was re-flashed or updated.
Now in apple car play I have a compass to the right of the map.
Not a big deal but I could not figure out why is suddenly appeared and I called the genus to ask where that feature was buried in the menus. Its not, it is part of an update to fill the screen in apple car play.
