As for the OP, I too recently took it in the shorts from Photobucket so I set up a free Flickr account.
But note, Photobucket was never the top image hosting site remember that.

Going with something more mainstream and popular like Imgur won't cause you problems like these. And you can make an account to and manage your pictures.
