He also said for his girlfriend he's going to get a mason jar and fill it up with a not-small amount of "nice things" about her so that she can open the jar up whenever she's feeling down and read a compliment. My wife does this every year as well at different holidays. She calls them coupons to be used anytime I want. I won't specifically state what is on them, but it makes for a fun year!
