They don't test M models because a car needs to sell enough for them to consider viable to test. The base 5-series is expected to sell in greater numbers so unfortunately you only get an idea. Which sucks cause the M cars tend to be much different under the hood and other components.
Otherwise BMW has a winner in their hands here
