FWIW, I called BMW Genius while mine still showed "At the port" online and they said they had no vessel information.
The next morning (I think it was a Tuesday), it had updated to "In transit". I called Genius again and they gave me the vessel info. Of course, I immediately plugged that into marinetraffic and googled to find its itinerary. By that point it time, it was already at Southampton and had left Bremerhaven 2 or 3 days prior.
So, it would appear that both the website and Genius might not know of the vessel info until after it's already underway.
