PHEV & ICE -- I wonder....
In a regular car, one starts the car, drives around and may eventually need to step on it. With a phev much of the driving may be electric but when power is needed, and one steps on the accelerator, the ICE kicks in.
My wonderment is how that impacts on the ICE. Much of the time the ICE will be asked to load up the rpms after it has been sitting fallow. Will that harm the ICE? Shorten its life span?
