Have you checked the weather option is ticked under the contents menu (sorry can't remember how to get to it in idrive) but you can select which connected drive services are visible and maybe the weather got unchecked?

On my previous vehicle they had do a complete software update. On my M550i it disappeared right after the backup camera recall going to version EVO Q, but came back after a few vehicle power cycles. |
Update: all the apps including weather are back but the resets are still happening periodically. I have made an appointment at the dealership next week. |
Sounds like they're going to have to do a complete reload anyway. Best of luck man.
