Used it for first day of major driving today (160 miles round trip) and have to say I was disappointed in the range for the one time it picked up something real. Maybe I encountered a trooper just flipping on his Ka or something but I was right up on him before it went off. Fortunately I wasn’t going that fast and Waze alerted me so I slowed down even more so no harm done. Also doesn’t seem as good as the old 9500ix at filtering false K alerts so I might just turn off K band detection. Another major day of driving on Thursday so we’ll see how that goes. |
If you are within you return period and aren't happy still, I would recommend an Escort brand. I also used to have the 9500 and now the Passport Max which is now a few years old.
