I share the feeling. Nearly same size/offset (10.5"ET40) on my car, and I think it's too agressive. That said, most people will not notice, and many like the agressive look. So, in the end, why not?
I would not lower the car, I think it's perfect like this.
You could consider having the rear camber adjusted at max negative recommended value by BMW, but I don't know if it would make a big difference.
