I initially thought to post this in the tracking subforum, but it turned out to be more of a photo thread than a techniques/advice thread. Enjoy!
The climax:
….but back to where it all began.
Left home at 5am for the 160-mile trek to Harris Hill Raceway
Got stopped by a train along the way
Sunrise silhouette shot
Almost there!
Stopped to take a shot before the onslaught
Set up shop near the starting grid
Classroom session
Ready to go!!
Green to grid!!
Started at 32 PSI, up to 35 PSI after 1st session
Tire wear after 2 sessions
Tire wear after 3 sessions (Front)
Tire wear after 3 sessions (Rear)
Hip shot before gridding
Succesfully completed all my objectives for the day, and came out in one piece! (unlike the track mascot car)
The real damage
Thanks to
Kurt Bradley for being a great flag station volunteer and for the action photos below. He did the work for Jalopnik for the
McLaren 650S test drive in Austin.
