As someone who hates torquing stuff by feel this worries me a quite a bit lol. I honnestly torque everything almost. Was your engine stone cold to?
Never had issues yet torquing plugs or drain plugs with my Tekton 3/8 wrench, it's 10ft lbs to 80ft lbs range.
