The lift was here long before the BMW.
I'm a hobbyist and like to tinker. I also built my Factory Five Cobra replica and like to have the right tools to do the job. This lift gets used! By the way, I'm more than happy to let the dealer do pre-paid maintenance, but refuse to pay dealership rates for things I can do myself once out of the coverage period. I also have the tools to do top-side oil changes after buying my last Mercedes Benz that required (recommended) top-side oil changes.
