You should probably talk to your service advisor to see about an update.
Just my personal opinion, but as of now the implementation of Waze and Google Maps isn't good enough for me to use them over the built in iDrive map. Maybe as they update these, I'll re-evaluate them.

It has not been confirmed in that thread that there is an update to iDrive that gives you full screen carplay.
