I am using the new connected app. But I'm using a work around because BMW Canada blows... I use a VPN on my phone and have the US BMW connected app installed, it's working perfectly.
I had to register for an account with the VPN connected in the US, I really only needed the VPN to access the APP on Google Play. (It's not available in Canada...)
Now BMW Connected is installed on my phone, gets all the regular updates from BMW via google and I live in Canada.
