One thing to keep in mind is that the Med Blue can have a hint of purple in some light. And Carbon Black will almost always look black during overcast or dark days (issue for us in the more northern latitudes).
My favorite blue is Tanzanite which unfortunately isn't available on the G30 -- yet.

I agree on Tanzanite. It looks great on an M4. Here's a shot of the purple look to Mediterranean Blue.
