Yeah, they just redesigned it and made it significantly bigger. I was really impressed with the quality of the interior and the leather. Very comfortable. As much as I am a BMW fanatic, it was tempting, especially given all the tech goodies it had for $15,000 less than the X5 which still isn't as well equipped as I would have liked if it were my daily. The Audi Q8 was also in the mix, but the rear hatch space was too small for my 95 pound German Shepherd.
At the end of the day though, you are right, none of the other options drove or handled like the X5. I also wanted to see what all this B58 hype was all about. Not disappointed in this engine so far. Plenty of juice and smooth.
