I don't know what others are pricing this at, but I assume it can't be higher than Amazon - for $13.99 it's cheap!

And I compared this to my OEM button, identical! and yes, use the sticky stuff - I didn't warm anything up beforehand (didn't know to) and it still only took about 3 tries to yank the button off - and no damage. So certainly no need at all to remove the button assembly to do this as I've seen on youtube.
