I actually pulled the Luminance down to around 10, which raised the grainyness and left the Chromanance at 50, which isn't that high. It was almost dark when I took this, with the sun down for almost 20-minutes.
It looks decent in the 1024 size and smaller, demonstrating the usefulness for important subjects, like Bigfoot. I see this guy weekly, so this will never be for sale.
The focus is relatively poor and the low SS and long focal length contribute to the "smear", but I agree, this is good, but not great.
