VW owns Audi... I know that VW's main goal is to build/sell cars. Period. Then they let their dealers "fix" the cars. They don't care IF they are working properly or not. I saw so many Lemon VW's delivered when I use to work at a VW dealership. Buy backs are just part of doing business as far as VAG is concerned. For Porsche(or old Porsche) and BMW & MB... they have different priorities that just pumping out units. I even remember touring Volkswagen in Wolfsburg where they had lines of car in the factory to have a second or third go at QC. lol What a joke.
